This Privacy Policy explains how Europalso e-Card ("the App", "we", "our", "us") handles information when you use the App. The App is designed for language school owners to create and share digital business cards (vCards) using QR codes, and to scan QR codes.

We are committed to transparency and user privacy.

2. Information We Collect

A) Information you enter in the App (stored on your device)

When you create digital business cards, you may optionally enter:

This information is stored locally using the App database (Room/SQLite).

B) QR Code scanning data (stored on your device)

When you scan a QR code, the App may read and store scan results in Scan History, such as:

• Contact data (vCard content)
• Website URLs
• Plain text content

Scan History is stored only on your device.

C) Photos & media you choose to use (stored on your device)

If you choose to add a photo/logo or save a QR code image:

• The App may access images you select from your device.
• The App may save QR code images to your device gallery only when you choose “Save”.

D) Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect:

• Your precise GPS location
• Contacts from your address book
• Device call logs or SMS
• Background analytics of your activity
• Advertising identifiers
• Sensitive personal data beyond what you choose to type into your card content

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to provide the App’s core functions, including:

• Creating Personal and School digital cards
• Generating QR codes in vCard 3.0 format
• Sharing your QR code via installed sharing apps (messengers, email, etc.)
• Scanning QR codes using the camera
• Displaying scan results and storing optional scan history
• Storing your preferences (e.g., language: English/Greek)

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share your data with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your card data or scan history with third parties.

Sharing happens only when you choose

The App may share content only when you initiate it, for example:

• You tap Share QR Code
• You export or send card details via other apps

Any data you share is then handled by the third-party app/service you chose (e.g., email, messaging apps, social platforms).

5. Data Storage (Offline Storage)

All card data, preferences, and scan history are stored locally on your device using:

• Room Database (SQLite)
• DataStore (Preferences)

We do not operate a backend server for storing your app data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your information at any time by:

• Editing or deleting cards inside the App
• Clearing scan history (if the App provides this option)
• Uninstalling the App (removes local data)
• Clearing App storage from Android Settings

If you save QR codes to your gallery, you can delete those images manually from your device.

7. App Permissions (What We Access and Why)

The App may request the following permissions depending on your device and Android version:

Camera

Used to scan QR codes using the built-in QR Scanner. The camera is used only while scanning (not in the background).

Photos/Media (optional)

Used to select a logo/photo for your cards, and/or save generated QR codes to your gallery (only when you choose).

Internet (optional / device-dependent)

The App may use internet access only for user-initiated actions such as:

• Opening website or social media links you entered
• Loading images from a URL if you provide one

The App does not upload your stored card data to any server.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• Local storage architecture (offline-first)
• Standard Android security protections and sandboxing

However, no method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing access to your own device (PIN, fingerprint, etc.).

9. Third-Party Technologies Used (SDKs/Libraries)

The App uses well-known Android technologies and libraries to provide core functionality, such as:

• Google ML Kit Barcode Scanning (QR scanning)
• CameraX (camera support)
• ZXing (QR code generation)
• Room (SQLite) (local database)
• DataStore (preferences)
• Coil (image loading)
• Jetpack Compose / Material Design 3 (UI)

These components are used to run app features. We do not send your card database to these providers.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for language school owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information inside the App, please delete the content from the device or contact us.

11. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your region (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights such as:

• Accessing and correcting your data (via editing cards)
• Deleting your data (via deleting cards / uninstalling)
• Controlling what you choose to share

Because the App stores data locally and does not maintain a server database, requests are handled mainly through in-app controls and device settings.

The App may allow you to open external websites and social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites or apps.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
